Preparing for Red Heat Warning

Posted on 23 June 2026 by Lorraine Barrett

The Met Office has issued a Red Heat Warning for our area tomorrow Wednesday 24th June and Thursday 25th June 2026. Your health and safety are our priority, and we want to reassure all our patients that we are preparing to continue providing care in a safe and comfortable environment.
If you have an appointment with us tomorrow:
• 💧 Please drink plenty of water before you travel.
• 🚗 Allow extra time for your journey and avoid rushing in the heat.
• 🧢 Wear light, comfortable clothing and bring any water you may need.
• 📞 If you are elderly, medically vulnerable, or feeling unwell because of the heat, please contact the practice to discuss whether your appointment should be rearranged.
Our team will have cool drinking water available, and we’ll be doing everything we can to keep the practice comfortable for patients and staff.
Please take care of yourselves and check in on friends, family, and neighbours who may be more vulnerable during the hot weather.
We look forward to seeing you safely tomorrow. 🌞
