Denplan Essentials

• Denplan Essentials is a dental plan which helps you budget for your routine preventive dental care
• Seeing your dentist regularly is important as it can help you avoid having to undergo costly, restorative treatments
• The dental plan is easy to set up and no pre-assessment is necessary
• Your dentist will decide how often he wants to see you and how much he will charge you
• You will have to pay for any restorative dental treatment necessary (ie. crowns, bridges or fillings)

Denplan Essentials does not cover:

• Restorative dental treatments including fillings, crowns, bridges or dentures (at the discretion of your dentist)
• Laboratory fees and prescriptions
• Any treatment excluded by the dentists in your contract which is payable by you to the dentist
• Referral to a specialist and specialist treatment
• Orthodontics, implants, cosmetic treatment
• Sedation fees

Denplan For Children

Denplan for children covers children aged 1 to 18. It is a simpler way of keeping up the great habit of regular check-ups for your child without the worry of unexpected bills.

How does the plan work?

Your child will be assessed and placed in one of three bandings depending on their level of dental need. This will be assessed by their dentists and reviewed on a regular basis.

What is included in the plan?

Band A £10.00 per Month

• Dental examination every 6 months & clinically necessary x-rays
• Fluoride treatment

Band B £12.00 per Month

• Dental examination every 6 months
• Oral hygiene advise and treatment as required
• Fluoride treatment
• Any necessary routine dental treatment*
• 1 mouth guard per year if required – lab fee is payable

Band C £15.00 per Month

• Dental examination every 3 months
• Oral hygiene advise and treatment as required
• Fluoride treatment
• Any necessary routine dental treatment*
• 1 mouth guard per year if required – lab fee is payable

* includes x-rays as clinically necessary, fillings, cleaning, and extractions

More complex dental treatment is charged at a 50% discount on children’s private fees.

Orthodontic or external referrals are not included.

Please remember that your routine treatment is at the discretion of the dentist and the contract is with your dentist, not Simplyhealth Professionals.

Missed Appointments

Appointments missed or cancelled with less that 24 hours notice will be liable for a missed appointment fee.
