NHS Fees
From 1st April 2026
The charge you pay depends on the treatment you need to keep your mouth, gums and teeth healthy. You will only ever be asked to pay one charge for each complete course of treatment, even if you need to visit your dentist more than once to finish it – either Band 1, Band 2 or Band 3.
Band 1 – £27.90
This covers an examination, diagnosis (eg X-rays), advice on how to prevent future problems, a scale and polish if needed, and application of fluoride varnish or fissure sealant. If you require urgent care, even if your urgent treatment needs more than one appointment to complete, you will only need to pay one Band 1 charge.
Band 2 – £76.60
This covers everything listed in Band 1 above, plus any further treatment such as fillings, root canal work or if your dentist needs to take out one or more of your teeth.
Band 3 – £332.10
This covers everything listed in Bands 1 and 2 above, plus crowns, dentures and bridges.
Terms and Conditions of Payment
In the absence of prior written agreement to the contrary, final payment of our charges is required on completion of treatment. Failure to make payment within 28 days of the due date may result in the matter being referred to Frontline Collections our debt collection agents whose charges will be added to and payable with the invoice debt.
Appointment Cancellation Policy
It is the aim of this practice to provide quality dental care to our patients on schedule and to use clinical time effectively. To achieve this aim we have an appointment cancellation policy.
Cancellation of an appointment:
Patients are requested to give at least 24 hours notice to cancel a dental appointment. Cancellations should be made by telephone on: 01278 458396
The practice will charge a deposit fee for private dental appointments which will be non refundable for missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice. The deposit is based on the individual appointment that can be found in the latest private fees list.
If more than two NHS dental appointments are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, we do not guarantee being able to complete a patient’s NHS treatment or offer them NHS treatment in the future.
It is our aim to telephone or write to patients after a missed appointment to understand the reason for non-attendance and to inform them about any deposit or decision about their NHS dental care.
Any appeals about missed or cancelled appointment decisions by a patient should be made in writing to the Practice Manager.
