Class 4 – How we make decisions The practice have regular meetings to discuss with both staff and management any changes or updates that are considered necessary in the best interests of our patients and staff.

2014-2015

To look at staffing to ensure we are running efficiently and effectively. Areas were identified as being necessary to obtain further cover and a returning member of staff who had been on maternity agreed to fill this area.

After discussion with staff and feedback from patients the waiting room area was identified as requiring updating and decoration. This work was budgeted for and completed during the spring of 2015.

2015-2016

Staff were asked to identify areas in their working days as to how they feel they would like to see improved. This was part of their appraisals. Training needs have been identified and the practice is in the process of putting into place appropriate training to cover these needs.

As the diary is becoming busier the decision to employ a hygiene/therapist was taken and is now in place to relieve some of that work load, if it continues to increase then the practice will look at the benefits of adding more work hours.

2018-2019   Practice meetings take place monthly and we will continue to include staff on any issues or changes within the practice.

As a small company, management decisions are not always recorded. Information may be available from the practice owner. 10p per photocopy
